Anoop Mehta, Chairman/Managing Director, Mohit Diamonds and President Bharat Diamond Bourse was conferred the “Lifetime Achievement” honor during the 49th India Gem and Jewellery Awards 2023 held in Mumbai. Mr Anoop Mehta is the Chairman/Managing Director of one of the world’s most prominent Diamond Company, Mohit Diamonds. A fourth generation entrepreneur, Mr Mehta is a legend in his own terms who has been instrumental in the growth of Mohit Diamonds expanding the canvass from Mumbai India to Dubai, and Gabarone. Mohit Diamonds is an established conglomerate in the global diamond sector today and leads the supply chain right from Rough diamond procurement to Polishing, exporting polished diamonds and Jewellery manufacturing.

Mr Mehta is the President and Founder member of Bharat Diamond Bourse which is the largest Diamond Bourse in the world today. Under his leadership, BDB has been successful in completing an excellent infrastructure and a business friendly climate for its over 6000 members and 2500 offices culminating over billions of dollars worth of business to the members, in a way becoming one of the most important export revenue earners for the country. Mr Anoop Mehta is also Chairman of Gemmological Institute of India [GII], a trade run laboratory which is a certifying and grading entity situated within BDB.

Mr Anoop Mehta is a people’s man who believes in team work and dedication. His eye for quality not only reflects in the growth of Mohit diamonds, but also the very functioning of Bharat Diamond Bourse. A highly respected individual who has been a voice for the Indian Diamond community in many International Forums, Mr Anoop Mehta has always kept the Indian Diamond Flag flying high. Mr Anoop Mehta has been representing global Diamond bodies and conferences from India such as WFDB of which he is the executive committee member, Dubai Diamond Conference, Angola Diamond Investment conference, WDC, IDMA etc to name a few and is regarded as the “Diamond Ambassador” for the Indian Diamond sector.
